This is a letter for a FOIA request, to be used by an ex-spouse non-participant to obtain information regarding participant benefits from the PBGC for a trusteed plan. In order for the non-participant ex-spouse to obtain information for use in drafting a QDRO, the PBGC requires a letter from the non-participant ex-spouse, notarized, with specific language regarding routine use of the information. This letter has the specific language required by the PBGC, and is the only information they will release to a non-participant ex-spouse.
